# up.Preview.prototype.ended

Whether this preview has [ended](https://unpoly.com/learn/previews.md#ending).

When a [preview function](https://unpoly.com/api/up.preview.md) is called, its associated request has just been queued and `preview.ended` is always `false`.

`preview.ended` can only be `true` if the preview function is async. See [Delaying previews](https://unpoly.com/learn/previews.md#delaying) for an example.
