# up.network.isIdle()

**This feature has been deprecated**. Use `!up.network.isBusy()` instead.

Load [`unpoly-migrate.js`](https://unpoly.com/changes/upgrading.md) to polyfill deprecated features.

Returns whether Unpoly is _not_ currently loading a [request](https://unpoly.com/api/up.request.md).

The network is also considered [busy](https://unpoly.com/api/up.network.isBusy.md) while requests are [loading in the background](https://unpoly.com/api/up.request.md#options.background).
