# up:motion:finish

This event is emitted on an animating element by [`up.motion.finish()`](https://unpoly.com/api/up.motion.finish.md) to request the animation to instantly finish and skip to the last frame.

Custom [animation](https://unpoly.com/api/up.animation.md) and [transition](https://unpoly.com/api/up.transition.md) functions are expected to instantly settle their promises when this event is observed on the animating element.
